BRA Bygg chooses Bravida as installations contractor for new exhibition area close to Gothenburg, Sweden

Gothenburg’s conference and exhibition industry is growing. The contractor BRA Bygg is building an exhibition hall and hotel in Mölndal, close to Gothenburg, assigned by a project development company co-owned by Klövern and Åby Travsällskap. Bravida has been assigned to carry out multi-disciplinary installations to an order value of SEK 100 million.

For a long time, Gothenburg has seen a great demand for both exhibition halls and hotel nights. To meet the need, Åbytravet (Åby Trotting Track) will expand by building a 10,000 square meter exhibition hall with an adjoining conference venue and 16-floor hotel with around 150 rooms. Also, the grand stand of the trotting track will be re-built. Bravida will be responsible for all electrical, heating & plumbing, ventilation and automation installations, for an order value of SEK 100 million.

– This is a so-called Bravida Plus project, where we are involved from an early stage and responsible for coordinating all installations. The project has a tight time-plan, but with good coordination and strong commitment from all involved parties, we hope to be able to deliver on time and with high quality, says Anders Bådholm, Regional Manager, Bravida Gothenburg.

The plans have been at work for several years, but the local plan did not receive final approval until 2015. BRA Bygg will be responsible for the building project, and are looking forward to the cooperation with Bravida.

– We have previously worked with Bravida in several large projects. We know that they have the resources and the organisation necessary to be able to deliver on time and with the desired quality, says Magnus Riemer, CEO of BRA Bygg.

The installation work will start presently, and is estimated to be finalised in the end of 2019. Around 20-25 Bravida employees will work in the project.
