Bravida is appointed general contractor for the next phase of construction for Facebook’s data center in Luleå, Sweden.
Bravida assumes overall responsibility for the construction of the C and D phases of the first building at Facebook’s data center in Luleå.

– It feels great to receive renewed confidence from Facebook to continue building on this advanced and energy efficient facility, says Mika Sundholm, Head of the Facebook project at Bravida.
The work at hand is in the same range as the turnkey contract of the first stage. The project will start in summer of 2013 and will employ hundreds of people.
The facility is Facebook’s first data center outside the US, and it will be one of the world’s most high tech and energy efficient data centers, helping serve the traffic generated by Facebook one billion users all over the world.
