Bravida Norway has been awarded a contract to carry out part two of the electrical installations for the new Stavanger University Hospital. The contract has a value of just over NOK 67.5 million. Press release

The expansion of the hospital includes 20,000 square metres of floorspace that are in addition to the more than 100,000 square metres already under construction. Sustainable solutions are a key part of the project implementation, and a digital and streamlined way of working, featuring prefabricated solutions, ensures efficiency.

“The new hospital in Stavanger is currently Norway’s largest construction site and Bravida is an important partner in this project. The hospital will be a new landmark and we are looking forward to continuing to move forwards with it in 2022,” says Kari Gro Johanson, Project Director of the new Stavanger Hospital.

Bravida will supply complete electrical systems for the entire expansion of the new hospital, thereby ensuring uniform installation throughout the whole site.

Jone Vold, Bravida Norway Project Manager for the installation work at Stavanger University Hospital, comments:

“We are delighted to have been awarded the contract by Helse Vest. We already work closely together and have the right competence to handle the demands of a project of this size. This also gives us the opportunity to hire more skilled employees, ranging from apprentices to experienced electricians.”

Trond-Lauritz Larsen, Regional Manager for the Agder and Rogaland region at Bravida Norway, agrees:

“The project team is already doing a great job at Stavanger University Hospital. They have built up valuable experience that will enable them to efficiently carry out the next stage of construction while also ensuring good implementation quality. We are proud to be working on this important project for the community, which will be important for Rogaland for many years to come,” he states.

Bravida will start working on this project in May 2022, and the hospital is expected to be completed in 2024.
