Bravida Norway has been commissioned by Veidekke to carry out the electrical installations for the new Livabygget building at the hospital in Førde. The contract also includes renovating the existing main building.

Press release

Livabygget will be a new, state-of-the-art hospital building that focuses on women and children. The design and development phase has been in progress for a year, and the building will include four new maternity wards, operating theatres and advanced specialised rooms spread over the building’s nine floors and 13,000 m2.

“We look forward to starting up yet another project for the Førde hospital. We have plenty of skills and experience in hospital projects and are confident that we will achieve good results with Livabygget, too,” comments Svein Inge Midtun, Head of Department at Bravida in Førde.

Service and installations in hospitals are a priority area for Bravida Norway and fully in line with Helse Førde’s and Veidekke’s modernisation work underway at Førde’s central hospital. Tore Bakke, CEO of Bravida Norway, comments:

“We’re proud to have been commissioned by the developer and Veidekke to carry out the installations in this exciting project. We have several similar projects underway and I am confident that, together with the client, we will provide an effective solution that meets their needs.”

Bravida’s projects will start in spring 2021 and will employ around 10–25 people. The project is due to be completed in 2024.
