Data centers in Mälardalen
Bravida is the general contractor for three constructions of data centers in Mälardalen on behalf of a confidential customer.
Construction started in February 2024 and is scheduled to be completed in December 2024. We are installing switchgear, process water tanks and backup power generators. We have previously completed a number of similar projects for the same customer between 2021-2023.
About Bravida's deliverables
As General Contractor, Bravida is responsible for the supply of General Contractor services as well as mechanical and electrical installation services.
The General Contractor services include:
- Shop drawings
- BIM coordination
- Temporary works
- Fire rated internal walls
- Cabling for surveillance and access control systems
- Modifications to structural steel frame
- Concrete foundations for generators and water tank (under them drilled steel piles to bedrock)
The mechanical and electrical services include the installation of:
- HVAC
- Cooling
- Fuel pipe system for generators
- Electrical power
- Lighting
- Sprinkler
- Security systems
Design engineering is performed by consultants engaged by the client.
