Bravida Sweden installs for 220 million in Stockholm's largest environmental project

Press release

Bravida has been commissioned by YIT to carry out the installation of sewer lines, electricity and ventilation when Stockholm Water and Waste builds the new sewage tunnel between Bromma and Sickla.

- It feels good to have Bravida as a partner in this important assignment for Stockholm Water and Waste. There are always challenges in building a tunnel. I experience we have a good collaboration with Bravida, which will be crucial in the project, says Christian Vestergren, Project Manager at YIT.

The sewage tunnel is an environmental project, and some of the noticeable positive environmental effects will be cleaner water in the lake Mälaren and reduced nitrogen emissions in the Baltic Sea. Bravida was involved when Henriksdal's treatment plant was developed and modernized. Lars Täuber, Head of Division Stockholm, Bravida, comments:

- We are confident with the assignment and have considerable experience of similar projects previously. Through our installations in the project we will contribute to Stockholm's future sewage treatment, which feels both positive and sustainable in the long-term.

The project “Stockholm's future wastewater treatment” is expected to be completed in 2029 and Bravida's assignment will be completed at the end of 2026.
