Bravida Norway wins contracts for the new Nordmøre and Romsdal hospital, with an order value of around NOK 140 million

Bravida Norway has been awarded contracts to supply complete medical gas and compressed air systems, as well as fire extinguishing systems with sprinklers, for the new Nordmøre and Romsdal Hospital.

Press release

The hospital comprises 60,000 square metres of new construction and is planned to be a modern and sustainable health facility with accident and emergency services, which will ensure increased patient safety and shorter waiting times. Bravida’s contracts cover a total of approximately 45,000 square metres and relate to the buildings for somatic care and the technical hub.

“The construction of hospitals and provision of associated maintenance services is one of our priority market segments at Bravida, and we are very pleased that Helse Møre and Romsdal has chosen us as a supplier for this exciting project. It is our largest sprinkler contract ever and our third largest medical gases contract. We currently have several large hospital building projects ongoing. This enables knowledge transfer that ensures good project implementation with the right choice of solutions,” comments Tore Bakke, CEO of Bravida Norway.

Bravida has built up solid competence regarding hospital buildings in Norway in recent years and recently completed the Tønsberg project and won major contracts for Stavanger University Hospital and Drammen Hospital relating to medical gases, pipes and electricity.

“We have been working for several years in a targeted and strategic way to win these contracts and I am proud of our team for making this possible. The project will, among other things, involve Bravida’s department for heating and plumbing projects in Trondheim. A lot of work was put into the tendering and dialogue phases, and we are now looking forward to getting started with this project,” comments Petter Storhaug, Regional Manager for Region Midt at Bravida Norway.

The projects will start immediately, with planning and collaboration. Production will start in autumn 2022 and completion is scheduled for autumn 2024. The hospital will be fully operational by spring 2025.
