Bravida wins installations contract for new hospital in Gødstrup, Denmark
Bravida has signed an agreement with the Danish county council Region Midtjylland to perform all installations at a new Danish hospital, Det Nye Hospital i Vest, DNV-Gødstrup, west of the city of Herning.
Press release
The new hospital DNV-Gødstrup will be a modern emergency hospital, with the entire western part of Region Midtjylland as its catchment area. This is yet another one in the long line of large Nordic hospital assignments that Bravida has won in the past few years, for example in Tønsberg, Tromsø and Østfold in Norway and Nya Karolinska, Värnamo hospital and Akademiska Hospital in Sweden.
Bravida’s assignment in Gødstrup will include installation of electrics, heating & plumbing and HVAC in the 98.000 square metres that are included in the first phase of the large hospital building project. The total value of Bravida’s part of the assignment corresponds to about SEK 390 million.
– I am very pleased that we managed to win the installations assignment at DNV-Gødstrup. In Denmark, we have built considerable competence around this type of projects from our assignment in Det Nye Universitetshospital (DNU) in Aarhus. Now, since we have practically finished the Aarhus project, we can move our experienced staff westwards to Gødstrup, says Johnny Hey Jensen, Regional Manager in Bravida Region North, Denmark.
Bravida Denmark estimates that the work at DNV-Gødstrup will start towards the end of 2016. On average, around 90 Bravida employees will work in the project until completion, which is estimated to mid 2019.
