Bravida Norway to perform installations for a new hospital in Drammen for NOK 340 million

Bravida Norway has signed a contract for the provision of electrical installation work for the central building of the new hospital in Drammen. The contract has an order value of just over NOK 340 million.

Press release

The central building, which consists of 90,000 square metres of new construction, will be a state-of-the-art hospital building with nine floors. Sustainability is a focus area covering several different aspects in this project, which is perfectly in line with Bravida’s strategy. In recent years, Bravida Norway has built up good competence in hospital construction, and recently completed the Tønsberg project.

“We would like to thank Helse Sør-Øst RHF for choosing us as the provider of electrical installations in this exciting project. For Bravida Norway, this is one of the largest contracts we have had in a single area. We are already involved in the project with regard to security, locks and fittings, with a contract awarded in 2020. This is an important contract for Bravida, as hospital construction and maintenance is a priority market segment for us. We have several large hospital buildings under production, which enables competence transfer that ensures good project implementation with the right choice of solutions,” comments Tore Bakke, CEO of Bravida Norway.

The project will involve approximately 10-50 people from Bravida, including employees from the branches in Drammen, Sandefjord, Asker, Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad. The staff will include a number of Bravida’s skilled apprentices.

“We have worked for several years in a targeted and strategic way to win such contracts, so I am very proud of everyone who has been involved and made this possible. A lot of work was put into the tendering and dialogue phases, and we are now looking forward to getting started with the actual project,” comments Øyvind Hagen, Divisional Director for Division Eastern Norway at Bravida Norway.

The project will start immediately, with initial planning and collaboration. Production work will start in spring 2022 and will be completed by 2025.
