Bravida Norway wins two major contracts for the new Nordmøre and Romsdal Hospital

Bravida Norway has been awarded contracts for the new Nordmøre and Romsdal Hospital (SNR) to supply electrical and telecommunications technology, with an order value of NOK 390 million, and security systems, with an order value of NOK 15 million.

Press release

SNR consists of an emergency hospital in Hjelset outside Molde, and a medical centre in Kristiansund. Bravida’s contracts cover the supplying of technology to the hospital in Hjelset, which consists of 60,000 square metres of new construction. The project will create a state-of-the-art hospital complex that shortens waiting times and ensures increased patient safety.

In the collaboration phase, the most sustainable and efficient solutions for both the implementation and future energy use in the buildings will be drawn up. Digitalisation and prefabrication are two focus areas for Bravida in the implementation of the project. Both these aspects are important for reducing carbon emissions and waste management.

“We are really looking forward to starting to provide electricity and security installations for SNR. We know the project well as a result of several tender processes, which ensure good cooperation in this large project and benefit the production. We would like to thank Sykehusbygg and Helse Møre och Romsdal for the trust and we look forward to helping the region create the hospital” comments Tore Bakke, CEO of Bravida Norway.

Bravida will start work on the project immediately, developing the planning and collaboration, and project completion is scheduled for autumn 2024. The new emergency hospital is expected to open in spring 2025.
