Bravida Denmark installs for DKK 114 million at new DSB workshop for electric trains

On behalf of M.J. Eriksson, Bravida Denmark is responsible for the technical outdoor installations at DSB’s new workshop for electric trains in Aarhus.

Press release

The planned 20,000 square metre workshop, together with the new workshop at Godsbanen in Copenhagen, will be the primary locations for performing maintenance of DSB’s future electric trains. Bravida’s assignment includes the installation of electricity, lighting and supply in the outdoor area.

One of the requests is that the construction work is as sustainable as possible and achieves gold certification pursuant to the DGNB certification system.

“We are proud to be part of this project, in which sustainability is given high priority in the construction of the workshops. This is a large and exciting assignment for Bravida, which was awarded after a long tendering process. It demonstrates that Bravida Rail Technique and Infrastructure is a market leader in this area,” comments Johnny Hey, CEO of Bravida Denmark.

Brian Madsen, Regional Manager at M.J. Eriksson, comments:

“We are very pleased to congratulate Bravida on being awarded the contract for the DSB workshop in Aarhus. We worked closely with Bravida in the preparatory phase and look forward to continuing the good cooperation during the assignment.”

The project will start in mid-2023.
