Press release
A modern facility is being built in Växjö with a particular focus on reduced energy consumption and operational reliability. Bravida's assignment includes automation and data-driven control as well as the installation of electrics, plumbing and HVAC – a technology package that maximises energy efficiency and operational reliability right from the very start.
“Many swimming centres in Sweden have reached the end of their technical lifespan, and energy costs are also increasing. Regardless of whether a decision is made to build a new facility or renovate an existing facility, modern technical systems that reduce energy consumption and ensure long-term operational reliability are needed. And that’s where Bravida comes in,” says Lars Täuber, Head of Division Sweden at Bravida.
The new swimming centre is owned by Växjö Municipality and managed by Växjö Fastighetsförvaltning AB.
“The swimming centre is an important investment for Växjö that will benefit both residents and visitors for a long time. It requires automated and reliable systems, with Bravida’s comprehensive delivery being central,” says Maria Dahl, Project Manager for the swimming centre project, Växjö Fastighetsförvaltning AB.
The project will run from June 2026 to 2029. Bravida has signed the contract with Peab, the main contractor.
