Bravida Finland delivers HVAC solution for Fazer's new chocolate factory for around EUR 2,7 million
Food group Fazer is building a new 34,000 square metre factory in Lahti, southern Finland, and Bravida Finland has been given responsibility for the HVAC installations in the production facility.
Press release
The new factory is the largest single investment in Fazer's history and strengthens Finnish food exports. Bravida's assignment includes the installation of more than one kilometre of ventilation ducts and also large air handling units, which places high demands on planning and coordination.
“We are very pleased to be given the opportunity to carry out an HVAC project of this magnitude together with Skanska, with which we have already had excellent cooperation in the past. The peak workforce on site will be approximately 400 people as the installation phase progresses, so close cooperation between all the parties involved is crucial for its success," comments Mikko Jokitöyrä, Branch Manager for HVAC Contracting in the Helsinki region at Bravida Finland.
Juha Ruokolainen, Project Manager at Skanska, comments:
“The project is demanding, and previous experience of working together plays an important role. Flexibility and the ability to collaborate make it possible to achieve the project’s objectives together.”
Skanska is the main contractor for the project. Bravida's work in the project has already started and the majority of the installations are scheduled for completion during 2026.
