Bravida supplies installations amounting to SEK 160 million at Enköping Municipality’s new wastewater treatment plant to reduce effluent discharge into Lake Mälaren
Bravida has been commissioned by Enköping Municipality to carry out electrical, plumbing, sanitation, ventilation and control system installations during construction of a new wastewater treatment plant. The new plant will improve water treatment and help the municipality meet environmental requirements for wastewater.
Press release
The wastewater treatment plant is an environmental project featuring modern technology that will consist of process buildings and basins that carry out biological and chemical treatment of the water in several stages. The contract also includes offices and service buildings.
“The project is fully in line with Bravida’s vision to lead the way towards a sustainable and resilient society. It requires expertise, which is where Bravida’s technical know-how comes into its own, and the long-term aim is to secure clean drinking water for the people living in Mälardalen,” comments Magnus Ramström, Head of Commercial Projects at Bravida Uppland.
Danielle Littlewood, Acting Head of Water and Wastewater at Enköping Municipality, comments:
“A new treatment plant is a crucial requirement for the municipality to be able to grow and for us to be able to meet future demands for treatment while reducing effluents discharged into Lake Mälaren. Bravida met our high standards in terms of experience, competence and environmental management systems. We look forward to starting construction, and cooperation and dialogue with the contractors appointed are key to the success of the project.”
The project will start in October 2023 and is expected to be completed in June 2027.
