Skiing and football under one roof
In the summer of 2015, Prioritet Serneke Arena opened in Gothenburg. This multisport arena covers an area of 45,000 square metres and includes handball courts, cross-country skiing trails, a high school and much more.
Bravida was awarded the turnkey contract for carrying out all installations in the construction of this major facility. Bravida installed all electrical, heating and plumbing, ventilation, automation, sprinkler, lifts and cooling systems.
The arena, which contains everything from a football pitch to ski trails, features a wide variety of technical installations. A key requirement for these installations to work effectively is to leverage synergies between electrical, heating and plumbing and ventilation installations.
Gothenburg’s new arena is a sports training centre and includes a gymnasium and hostel, a full-size indoor football pitch, two handball courts, a kitchen facility, restaurant, lounge area, seating and VIP boxes, gym, physiotherapy centre, shops and indoor ski trails. The wide variety of facilities placed stringent requirements on the fitters involved, both in terms of the advanced technology and the size of the project.
